The song, “Stride On”, comes from a tongue-in-cheek take of the phrase “right on”. Back in 2015, Justin Latam released a music video for his solo song “Barefoot”. That song signified Justin becoming a full-time musician and finding his sound. In the video, Latam wore a shirt that had the phrase “right on”. It’s always been a phrase he's tossed around. Once Justin formed the band, Justin Latam & The Stride, (with fellow musicians Brett Humber, Benny Pallotto and James Staley) he started using the phrase "stride on". In a way, this new song, “Stride On”, is an extension of his earlier song “Barefoot”… a next step. Stride On signifies Justin Latam & The Stride hitting their stride and finding their sound as a band… a song of perseverance and patience (which they've had to exercise over the past 2 years). It's got that good ol' rock n' roll sound with a positive message...
Put one foot in front of the other, take it as it comes & stride on!

lyrics
1, 2, 3..
Well I’m tired
Bein’ left behind
Can’t keep up with that hurried pace
It’s alright
Just let ‘em run on
I’m not getting’ caught up in that race
I’m gonna put one foot in front of the other
One step at a time
I’m gonna put one foot in front of the other
Today I’m gonna hit my stride
Stride on! Stride on!
Now I’m done
All this runaround
Only to be stuck in the same place
And sometimes
I still be trippin’
Fallin’ down straight flat onto my face
I’m gonna put one foot in front of the other
One step at a time
I’m gonna put one foot in front of the other
Today I’m gonna hit my stride
Stride on! Stride on!
Put one foot in front of the other (put one foot in front of the other)
Put one foot in front of the other (put one foot in front of the other)
Put one foot in front of the other (put one foot in front of the other)
Put one foot in front of the other
Yeah!
(take it as it comes)
Stride on! (and on and on and on and on and on) (take it as it comes)
Stride on! (and on and on and on and on and on) (take it as it comes)
